Immediate charred sticks with recently extinguished barbecue and leafy bonfires, this is quite nose-drying with traces of hemp rope, and hessian. The smoke becomes more fragrant with time, and blossom notes appear, with salted rum and raisin, raspberry vinegar and roasted salty walnuts.
The taste mirrors the nose – immediately ashy and smoky, becoming more gentile with a lovely fruity sweetness, just a hint of the sea and cherries on an open fire.
The finish is long and warming, plenty of lingering smoke from a steam engine.
