Blair Athol 13 Years Old Single Malt Whisky
Colour: Orange marmalade.
Nose: Stracciatella gelato, red currant, bubblegum, angel food cake, ripe Concord grape, rosemary, lemon zest, red licorice; like stepping into a sweets shop.
Palate: Brighter traits than typical Oloroso: more red fruit, key lime pie, candied grapefruit, good Tokaji wine, lemongrass.
Finish: Rich and viscous but lively, medium weight, good length.

Nose: Vanilla custard, orange zest, lemon thyme, shaved almond, birch, white grapefruit flesh, soda bread, subtle lavender.
Palate: Bright blood orange, porridge with berry compote, high quality Riesling, pear Danish.
Finish: Lively, tang and tart, medium-long, moreish.

Teaninich 10 Years Old Single Malt Whisky

Finish: Lively up front, sustained, tart, medium-full.

Caol Ila 2010
Colour: Maple Syrup
Nose: A wet walk after a heather fire, a charred rope-end, a waft of kippers for breakfast, a musky meatiness…..oily Bellota, peat bogs by the sea, a lurking dried fig
Palate: Gloopy spare-ribs cooked for hours in Coca Cola with star anise, dark plums drenched in molasses, salty sun-dried prunes, sweet barbecue smoke
Finish: Long and decadent: Nibbling dark chocolate and puffing cigars in a leather armchair. (With your legs over the arm) You want it to last forever, but the richness eventually dies away, leaving a last puff of gentle smoke and a lurking dried fig.

Blair Athol 2011 Years Old Single Malt Whisky
Colour: Rich, flaxen gold.
Nose: Tart white grape, parchment, gooseberry, pollen, ripe apple, gentle nutmeg, vanilla icing.
Palate: Bright and bold, with zippy candied lemons, Riesling, sliced almonds, oiled leather, crème-filled doughnut.
Finish: Vivacious, snappy, medium length.

Blair Athol 2011 Years Old Single Malt Whisky
Colour: Lightly brassy
Nose: Butterscotch sauce is the first thing to leap out, followed by much fruitiness….pear, Jazz apples, all drizzled in honey. Gently peppery.
Palate: Ginger and spice. The fruitiness becomes more tropical – papaya, coconut. Glacé bitter lemon peel.
Finish: Medium and smooth. Salted preserved Moroccan lemons with a hint of walnut skin.
